FBU is a place to simply come and know God. Dress comfortably, know that you are welcome, and maybe eat a donut. This is a place where it's okay to not be okay. We welcome and invite open and honest dialogue about life, faith, and everything in between. Our messages are engaging and biblical, and our worship is grounded in scriptural truth.

FBU's Mission

FBU exists to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ

What Are Our Core Values?

Relevant Biblical Truth

We believe that the truth of the Bible is both perfect and relevant for us in our lives today

(2 Timothy 3:16)

We Believe that true life and salvation is found only through Jesus's work on the cross

(John 3:16, John 14:6)

We highly value the discipleship of all ages, as Jesus has commanded us to do. Biblical Discipleship is the primary way believers grow and become christ like. We believe in making disciples who make disciples.

(James 2:18, Mathew 28:20, John 8:31)

We believe prayer is essential to a person's spiritual development. Jesus commands us to pray, because prayer is powerful, effective, and brings us into the presence of God.

(Ephesians 6:17-18, James 5:16)

Biblical Integrity

We will seek to demonstrate integrity through ethical practice and transparency, as directed in the Bible. As Godly stewards, we will be clear and transparent in all we do, seeking to please God instead of man.

(Titus 1:7-9)

Godly Leadership

Our leaders will strive to be Christ-like servants in the church, knowing that all authority comes from God.

(1 Timothy 3:1-7, John 13:14)

Compassionate Outreach to the Community

We will aim to demonstrate love and compassion to those in our community by seeking to meet both physical and spiritual needs.

(Matthew 22:39)

What Do We Believe?

One God, Three Persons

The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit exist in unity as one triune God and three separate distinct Persons

Jesus Christ is the Son of God

He was born of a virgin as both fully God and fully man, lived a sinless life, died to atone for the sins of man, was buried, arose from the grave, ascended into heaven, and will return again.

The Holy Spirit

The divine helper, assistant, counselor and instructor. His work is to reveal Christ, convict of sin, lead to repentance, guide believers, comfort, strengthen, and sanctify. He is fully God and equally as glorious as the Father and Son.

The Bible

The Bible is the Word of God and is without error. Scripture is the sole and final authority for the life of a believer.

Humans are the special creations of God, made in His image. We fell because of Adam and Eve's sin, and we continue to sin and are in need of salvation.

Salvation is deliverance from the current power of sin and the eternal spiritual death caused by sin, through faith in God and repentance from sin.
