FBU is a place to simply come and experience God. Dress comfortably, know that you are welcome, and maybe eat a donut. The messages are engaging and biblical, and the worship is modern (but we still like the occasional hymn!)

FBU's Mission

FBU exists to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ

What Are Our Core Values?

Relevant Biblical Truth

We believe that the truth of the Bible is both perfect and relevant for us in our lives today

(2 Timothy 3:16)

Salvation

We Believe that true life and salvation is found only through Jesus's work on the cross

(John 3:16, John 14:6)

Discipleship

We highly value the discipleship of all ages, as Jesus has commanded us to do. This process will be revealed by a person's transformed life over time

(James 2:18, Mathew 28:20, John 8:31)

Prayer

We believe prayer is essential to a person's spiritual development. Jesus commands us to pray, because prayer is powerful, effective, and brings us into the presence of God.

(Ephesians 6:17-18, James 5:16)

Biblical Integrity

We will seek to demonstrate integrity through ethical practice and transparency, as directed in the Bible. As Godly stewards, we will be clear and transparent in all we do, seeking to please God instead of man.

(Titus 1:7-9)

Godly Leadership

Our leaders will strive to be Christ-like servants in the church, knowing that all authority comes from God.

(1 Timothy 3:1-7, John 13:14)

Compassionate Outreach to the Community

We will aim to demonstrate love and compassion to those in our community by seeking to meet both physical and spiritual needs.

(Matthew 22:39)

What Do We Believe?

One God, Three Persons

The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit exist in unity as one triune God and three separate distinct Persons

Jesus Christ is the Son of God

He was born of a virgin as both fully God and fully man, lived a sinless life, died to atone for the sins of man, was buried, arose from the grave, ascended into heaven, and will return again.

The Holy Spirit

The divine helper, assistant, counselor and instructor and His work is to reveal Christ, convict of sin, lead to repentance, guide believers, comfort, strengthen, and sanctify.

The Bible

The Bible is the Word of God and is without error. Scripture is the sole and final authority for the life of a believer

Man

Humans are the special creations of God, made in His image. We fell because of Adam's sin, and we continue to sin and are in need of salvation.

Salvation

Salvation is deliverance from sin and eternal death through faith in God and repentance from sin.
